Technical details
1. Patented actuator technology
Fast, powerful, and repeatable
The pneumatically actuated PDos X1 features patented actuator technology. It accelerates the movement of the tappet, particularly during the closing phase, enabling short overall opening times and high closing forces.
This allows very small droplets to be dispensed with high precision and repeatability. According to the manufacturer, the PDos X1 achieves single-shot performance comparable to piezoelectric systems. In continuous operation, dispensing frequencies of up to 300 Hz are possible.
2. Precise adjustment via the scale knob
Reproducibly adjustable to the material and process
The top-mounted adjustment screw with scale limits the tappet stroke. This allows the tappet speed and dispensing result to be precisely adjusted to the specific application.
Fine adjustment makes it possible, for example, to compensate for batch-to-batch variations in the material. The scale markings remain easy to read regardless of the valve’s installation orientation.
3. Flexible integration into the system
Easy access even in limited installation space
The fluid-carrying components can be rotated independently of the actuator in 90-degree increments. This allows the position of the material connection to be adapted to the installation requirements of the respective system.
In the standard configuration, the nozzle area is accessible from three sides. The small distance to the outer housing contour facilitates integration of the jet valve even where installation space is limited. At the same time, the nozzle and dispensing point remain clearly visible for setup, inspection, and maintenance.
4. Heating, maintenance, and interchangeable components
Configurable for different dispensing materials
The fluidics and nozzle heating are designed to keep the nozzle easily accessible while transferring heat deep into the nozzle area. The heating element is implemented as a separate module and does not come into contact with the dispensing material or cleaning agents during maintenance.
Standardized wrench sizes simplify installation and maintenance. A wide range of nozzles and tappets with application-specific geometries is also available for different materials and dispensing tasks.
For particularly sensitive or reactive dispensing materials, the PDos X1 is available with a metal-free fluid path. This enables applications in which metallic wetted components would be problematic.
Contactless dispensing of cyanoacrylate
Cyanoacrylates cure very quickly when exposed to moisture, including humidity in the air. If the reaction starts inside the dispensing system, this can lead to clogging, extensive cleaning, and unplanned process downtime.
The PDos X1 enables contactless dispensing of extremely small cyanoacrylate volumes. Its normally closed valve design reduces the ingress of humidity during process interruptions. In the metal-free version, the fluidics are made of PEEK and contain no metallic wetted components.
This makes the PDos X1 suitable for particularly demanding and reactive materials such as cyanoacrylates. Contactless application enables precise dispensing at high cycle rates without the nozzle touching the component.
Anaerobic adhesives cure when oxygen is excluded and active metal ions are present. If the material comes into contact with suitable metal surfaces inside the dispensing system, an unwanted premature reaction may be promoted. This can lead to deposits, inconsistent dispensing results, and increased cleaning requirements.
The PDos X1 enables contactless dispensing of small, repeatable volumes of anaerobic adhesives. In the metal-free version, the fluidics are made of PEEK and contain no metallic wetted components. This reduces the risk of the adhesive being activated by contact with metal ions inside the fluid path.
The material is jetted directly onto the component without the nozzle touching the surface. This allows dots and beads to be applied precisely even at high cycle rates. The patented actuator technology and dispensing frequencies of up to 300 Hz support fast and repeatable dispensing processes.
The PDos X1 actuator, fluidics, and nozzle geometry are designed for precise, high-speed jet dispensing. Different configurations allow the system to be adapted to the dispensing material and the specific requirements of the application.

The right jet valve for your application
Material properties, required dispensing volume, and process parameters determine the optimal jet valve configuration. The PDos X1 is therefore configured and tuned to the specific dispensing application.
Consider viscosity, reactivity, and other relevant material properties.
Choose the appropriate fluidics, nozzle, and wetted components.
Adjust opening time, material pressure, and dispensing frequency to achieve the required result.
Verify the dispensing result using the actual material under application-specific conditions.
If required, we can evaluate the material in a practical dispensing test. This allows the valve configuration and process parameters to be matched to the application before integration into the production system.
The material, required dispensing volume, and process requirements determine the appropriate configuration. In a dispensing test, we evaluate the PDos X1 using the actual material.
